May 17 2008 - 3:15pm
Wind Direction at Launch:
E
Wind Speed at Launch (km):
0km/h
Duration (total minutes only):
45min
Max Altitude (asl):
1400m
Wind Direction at landing:
E
Wind Speed at Landing (km/h):
15km/h
Notes:
I had to wait for about an hour as it was catabatic at launch. I finally launched in a nil wind cycle. There were strong, 6 - 7 mps thermals out front. I had previous commitments so I had to land fairly quickly. I lost no altitude on the way to the LZ and had to core sink over the dam to get down. It was windy at the LZ but not too turbulent.
